I'm definitely too tired to write much, but when we turned off the VCR (having watched two episodes of Tenshi ni Narumon (as weird as Utena, but not exactly serious) and then two of Kodomo no Omocha -- this latter was described to me as 'Marmalade Boy on speed', but really it's sort of like Hanadan on speed, although the character designs do look more like Marmalade Boy) we found ourselves watching Sarah Michelle Gellar and the actress who played Mrs. Brady saying bizarre things, which eventually turned out to be Saturday Night Live. Hosted by Jackie Chan. So that was so weird that I just had to come mention it here, which was easy to do since I wanted to websearch for Tennimon and Kodocha webpages anyway.

So. Picture Jackie Chan, in a white Chinese-style suit, making jokes in his sprained English and being randomly menaced by martial artists... I wonder if in universes with superheroes you get the supers hosting SNL, complete with random actors dressing up as famous supervilliains and posing threateningly? And then of course there's the bad bit where an actual supervillain shows up and the set goes up in flames -- on live television! You don't get that kind of excitement just anywhere.

No more sneezing, currently. I am blaming the peach fuzzy blanket which I had wrapped up in last night, since once Jim took it away I quit sneezing so much. Tomorrow we're getting our washer & dryer (on the way back from a run to IKEA during which much necessary furniture will be acquired), and then I can do immense piles of laundry. I am in desperate need of clean clothes. And clean blankets, apparently.

I was told today that this was just like how one thinks journals ought to be but never are. You're a very sweet person for saying that. A very sweet person. (Do I sound like Andrea yet? But we're both sincere... and I think I believe you more than she believed me.)

Oh! Kodocha was intensely postmodern. I must mention it to Bryant.
